Stevenson is Oberlin's largest and most extensive "all-you-can-eat" buffet-style traditional dining hall. It offers the best opportunity for vegetarian and vegan and low fat diets, and showcases locally grown produce when available.
The Exhibition bar allows you to select the ingredients used and we prepare your favorite entrée. Featured bars include the pasta, stir-fry, fajita, pierogie, and wrap bars.
Classic Comforts/Vegetarian Comforts
Sometimes we all need traditional "comfort" foods to help us through the day. We use only choice grade meats and grade A vegetables to prepare our comfort foods for you. Vegetarian comfort foods include items made with seitan, tofu, beans and other high quality protein sources. To help ensure the true vegetarian nature of foods offered, no meats of any kind will be offered at the Vegetarian Comforts station, while a full variety of meats will be available at the Classic Comforts station.
Cut Fruit Bar
Grapes, melons, strawberries, pears, and other cut or small fruits are found year-round at this bar. They are accompanied by yogurt and cottage cheese.
Wild Fire Grill
We only use ground chuck to prepare our hamburgers. We use only antibiotic-free chicken breasts on our grill. In addition to traditional grill items, specialty grill sandwiches or items such as Italian sausage, Reubens, and more are featured daily for lunch and dinner at Stevenson.
Campus Deli & Soups
The deli offers hummus, tabbouleh, "eggless" salad and other vegetarian selections as well as a variety of deli meats daily. Meat-based and vegetarian soups are featured daily.
Pepperoni and plain cheese pizzas are certainly favorites on campus, but our creative pizza makers are always finding new combinations that are fast becoming new favorites like our BBQ chicken, cinnamon toast and spinach, feta and tomato pizzas.
Sweet breads and whole grain breads are baked daily in the campus bakery. These breads are accompanied by a variety of spreads such as peanut butter, flavored butters, cream cheese and jams.
Typically, the salad bar offers a mesclun mix and a romaine mix of lettuces to begin your salad. Vegetables minimally include red, yellow and green bell peppers, shredded carrots, red cabbage, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, red onion slices, chickpeas, tofu, sunflower seeds, raisins, two prepared deli-type salads, red wine vinegar, balsamic vinegar, olive oil and a variety of salad dressings.
Whole Fruit Bar
A variety of local fruits are brought in several times each week for this bar.
Along with the standard beverage fare of fountain drinks, we offer juices, soy milk, natural 2% milk, natural whole milk, natural chocolate milk, fair-trade coffee, and cappuccino.
Baked goodies from the campus bakery fill this table. Cookies, cakes, pies, brownies and more are offered daily. In addition, sundae bars are located in the Longman and Biggs beverage rooms.
